Premise
A Christian high school girl tries to cure her gay boyfriend by having sex with him, but she just ends up getting pregnant.

Who should watch
Anyone who has been through high school.

Thoughts
I do not know if it was dark enough to call it a dark comedy, but it was a very funny and smart film. Think of it as a religious, less sexier 'Mean Girls'. Both explored the themes of high school life and the pressure to fit in. Both were equally well-done and entertaining.

The religious aspect was cool. While it poked fun at Church-related themes, it did not ridicule them. I really liked the realistic exploration of the daily struggles religious people face, especially in terms of morality. This added an extra layer of pressure of high school life.

I loved the casting of Mandy Moore as the uber-Christian warrior, and Macaulay Culkin's return to acting as a dry-humored cripple. Both took turns stealing the show.

What I would change
It crept a bit close to chick-flick-ville near the end, but the drama was well-handled and realistic, so I'll let that go.
