Those who like family-friendly movies.
Thoughts
While it was not on par with any of Pixar's films, 'Meet the Robinsons' was better than expected.
I liked the film because of its fast-paced sense of humor and a decent story. I was afraid the only funny moment was the dinosaur that was shown in every TV commercial. Turns out, there were plenty of laughs throughout. There were some well-handled themes about family, believing in yourself, and most importantly, the past does not make you, but it is what you do that defines you. Parents should feel safe leaving their kids with this film.
There were inherent plot issues involving time-travel, but this was a kid's movie and the time-travel was more of a setting than a theme. The biggest weakness for me was the animation. It was good, but too often I found myself noticing all the emptiness and lack of character in the backgrounds and textures. Coupled with the boy genius theme, at times I felt like I was watching 'Jimmy Neutron' on steroids. This might have been more fun watching in IMAX 3-D.
All in all, this made a nice change of pace movie substitute for all the Pixar monotony, is that is possible.
What I would change
Improved the computer graphics. Taken out the pop music.
