Premise
Sean Connery stars as a Cold War Soviet submarine captain to defies orders and heads towards the United States, while an American CIA agent, Alec Baldwin, tries to find out his intentions. Based on Tom Clancy's novel.
Thoughts
It's been forever, but I recall this was one of my favorite action dramas ever. It was actually very little on action, but big on character, plot and dialogue. The cool cast also included Tim Curry, Sam Neill, and James Earl Jones. I also enjoyed the subtle visual style, which let the scenes breath.
