Premise
A white family discovers that their daughter is about to marry a black man.
Who should watch
Those who love great acting. Movie buffs. Anyone interested in race relations.
Thoughts
Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy and Sidney Poiter == WOW. Their acting was so natural, they made the daughter's acting feel forced.
On top of the great acting is exploration of race. This was done with realism and care. What I especially liked was that the parents were well-meaning, tolerant people. Despite their tolerance, they never expected it to happen to them, and worry more for their safety and wellbeing. Their dialogue reflects this realism and care.
What I would change
Found a better actress for the daughter.
