Thoughts
Overall a very well done film. Its strength was the great acting, especially Leo and Cate Blanchett as Katherine Hephburn. Jude Law as Errol Flynn was a hoot. There was some nice special effects. I especially loved the breathtaking scene when they were filming‘Hell’s Angels’ with 80 warplanes zig-zagging around in air.
Its flaw was that Howard Hughes was such an eccentric that I could not feel emotionally sympathetic to him. It lacked that 'oomph' factor to make it great or memorable. When the film is a biography, that factor has to be emotional, and I did not feel it here.
What I would change
Nothing.
