Fans of the book. Those who like something dark and charming.
Thoughts
I loved the main theme about it being dark and 'depressing'. It made the film entertaining and enjoyable. Jim Carrey would normally steal the show, but the kids were so likable, it did not feel like his movie. I hope they will make more of these. The sequels should be even better because the filmmakers would know what works and can skip lengthy expositions.
