Thoughts
Similar to '40 Year Old Virgin', it was well written and extremely funny. The film made full use of the R rating to its advantage. In terms of laughs, I felt it was better than '40 Year Old Virgin' because it had a better timing on when to exit a joke. I also liked how the film took its time giving all the minor characters their moments in the spotlight.
Compared to Judd Apatow's earlier hit, this felt a bit lacking in heart. All the characters were likable and funny, but they just did not seem as realistic and human as Steve Carrell and Catherine Keener's characters.
