Thoughts
As an Outkast fan, I loved the music. It had music from Speakerboxxx/Love Below album and some new songs. The songs were cool, but they we no match for Outkast's music videos. The other reason to watch was the casting. Like 'Do the Right Thing', the movie had quality black actors new and old.
My main problem was the flashy style. Some parts of it were cool, like when Big Boi has his conversations with the computer graphic generated rooster on his flask. But musicals are about dancing and singing. Save the music video tricks for music videos. I think they did that to disguise the plot. Obviously, I did not expect a great plot, but can we get a drama with blacks that does not involve guns?
What I would change
Made it less flashier and a more original plot.
