Thoughts
The trouble for Pixar was that each film so far has been a home run that we take them for granted. I knew it was one of the best films of the year, but it did not FEEL like it compared to other Pixar classics. At least that's what I felt the first time watching this film.

In 2006, the filmmakers surprised me by proving that cars can be cute. With 'Ratatouille', they proved that rats can be cute as well. The characters were well-animated and adorable. The best part of the film was the camera movement. The action sequences were phenomenal, as the camera moved like a hectic rat on the loose. It reminded me of 'Final Fantasy: Advent Children', in which animation gave the filmmakers the ability to break the laws of physics to give the audience never-before-seen visual experiences.

To quote a cliche, this film was like a fine wine. Watching it a second time, I got used to the unusual pace of the story, and enjoyed this film much much more than initially. Therefore, I retract my critique that this did not have a good story. I somewhat recommended it the first time, I definitely recommend it the second time around.

What I would change
Reduced the number of scenes with guns and dead rats caught in traps.
