Premise
It's the Simpsons in a movie!
Who should watch
'Simpsons' fans. Those who just enjoy comedy.
Thoughts
Two words: spider pig. The last time I laughed so hard and so long at a joke was when Will Ferrell stuck a knife into his thigh in 'Talladega Nights'.
Fans of the series know nothing can top the genius of the early years. Nevertheless, this film delivered the goods. The satire, parody, slapstick, irreverence and broad comedy kept me laughing throughout the entire time. I was amazed, there was practically no downtime.
The film format gave 'The Simpsons' three new tools to exploit: wide screen to add even more detail, computer graphics to give it an extra dimension of animation, and full frontal nudity.
What I would change
I actually wished it was longer. Even though I liked the fact they focused on the Simpsons family, I was a bit disappointed in the voice cameo department.
