Thoughts
For anyone under 18, this should bore you to death. I, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoyed this well-written, well-acted film.
Kudos to the screenwriter for crafting an interesting, immerseful story that transported the audience into the realm of businesses and lawyers. It was realistic, hectic, full of jargon, but rarely did I feel lost in the layers. Every character was human and sympathetic.
With such great writing, it made any actor's job easier. But in the hands of George Clooney, Tilda Swinton and the great Tom Wilkinson, there was magic. Clooney was very good as a worn, flawed protagonist. However, the actor that stole the show was Wilkinson with a hurricane of a performance. He deserved a supporting actor nomination.
There was nothing fancy in this film. Just smart, realistic, engrossing story with some great acting.
What I would change
The decision to have a little non-linear story-telling seemed unnecessary. But I'm just nit-picking.
