Thoughts
Definitely one of the best films of 2007.

There were two reasons this film was a must-see, the screenplay and and acting. First off, the best part about the film was the dialogue. I have not heard such creative and memorable lines since 'Pulp Fiction'. Every character was interesting and the plot cleverly avoided cliches.

Great writing begets great acting. Ellen Page was hilarious and loveable with her dark sense of humor. All the minor character actors got their moment to shine as well. I was surprised by Jennifer Garner's touching performance as a yuppie wife yearning to be a mother.

My only semi-annoyance was that the film at times seemed too quirky. I wouldn't say it was forced, but more like, obvious. For example, every corner you turned, there was a cute little indie song to accompany the scene.

What I would change
Toned down the 'quirkiness' a bit.
