Thoughts
There was something delightful about watching such a star-studded cast taking it easy.
Surprisingly, the screenwriting was quite good, as it was full of full one-liners and little unexpected twists. I also liked how the film makers got every member of the cast to get their moment on screen. One of my favorites was old-school repartee between George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Matt Damon's role as the new guy was hilarious at times. My favorite scene of the film was when Don Cheadle's character sets off the machine to turn off the city's power, but covers his nuts as a precaution.
Compared to the original, I liked this one better. However, that just may simply be because of my age. Had I lived to experience the dominance and popularity of the Rat Pack, my opinion may be different. To me, this slicker and cooler.
I recommend this likable film when you need something innocuous and light.
What I would change
Nothing.
Random
There was a personal reason for me to like this film. They filmed a small scene at my college. We stood in cold weather at three in the morning just to get a glimpse of George Clooney, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle at a few hundred feet away.
