Premise
A movie that chronicles a 1950's American summer as a neighborhood of kids play baseball together.

Liked
The pleasant, non-threatening atmosphere.

Thoughts
It's cute and charming.

The kids were very adorable and kid-like; like I wanted to hang out with them. In addition, the film makers did a great job of recreating to innocent 1950's vibe with the music and child antics. Sometimes it was nice to know that nothing evil was going to happen.

James Earl Jones' cameo if fun if you've seen Field of Dreams.

Overall, there was nothing wrong with it, other than being a little episodic, and the climax with The Beast was a tad unrealistic. But the lack of realism made sense, simply because of childhood exaggeration.

It was not as great as A Christmas Story, but should be fine entertainment for those who like tame harmless movies, like my mom.

What I would change
Nothing.
