Premise
A documentary about Chuck Wepner, the real-life inspiration for Sylvester Stallone's Rocky films.

Loved
Fascinating subject.

Thoughts
I'm not a boxing fan, but found The Real Rocky to be an engrossing doc.

The film did an excellent job of telling Wepner's story.  I got a clear picture of his interesting paths in life, his background, and personality.  His interviews were honest and fascinating.  I really enjoyed the segment when he fought Muhammad Ali, as it gave an additional glimpse into the great one's magnetic persona.

From a story-telling standpoint, I thought the director made a very convincing argument that Wepner's career was more than a casual inspiration for Stallone's famed franchise.  The only thing I didn't like about the directing was that it tried a little too hard to jazz up photos and static shots.

What I would change
Nothing.
