Thoughts
Even after multiple viewings many years later, it still holds up magnificently.
The inspired dialog sizzled and cracked me up, the characters were unforgettable and quirky, the performances were hilariously outstanding, the story was a wonderful melting pot of madness, the soundtrack equally memorable, and even the time-shifting story-telling felt essential instead of gimmicky.
If I had to pick a favorite, it would be everything that happened after Travolta shot Marvin in the face to the end of the film. Every moment between Travolta, Jackson and Harvey Keitel (and later on Tim Roth and Amanda Plummer) was just pitch-perfect awesome.
This was easily one of the best/most influential/most quoted films of the 1990's. Personally, I grew up to Pulp Fiction. I never understood dark comedy until the Bonnie situation, and it just opened my eyes to how great and bizarre cinema could be. There wasn't a day in high school when my friends and I would not reference it.
