Thoughts
What I liked best was its authentic capture of life as a young blacks in the projects. I went in expecting it to be a lot of gangsta shootouts, but it was more about the daily life and struggles of a man, his family and his friends. There were a lot of harsh truths and memorable quotes.
I wish I had seen this years earlier. Some of the famous scenes have been parodied and copied so often, they lost some emotional impact. On the other hand, it was cool to see how many black actors broke out because of this.
