Premise
During the Rwandan genocide of the 1990's, a hotel owner does everything he can save innocent lives.
Who should watch
Don Cheadle fans. Those who are unaware of Africa.
Thoughts
While I was happy with Jamie Foxx winning best actor for 'Ray', I felt Don Cheadle was just as worthy.
The film was more than just about the acting. It was a moving, sobering film about third world countries in Africa. There were many heartbreaking scenes about race, poverty, rich countries turning a blind eye, and the roadblocks those who are willing to help.
While it made me sad, I was glad I had watched it. As I write this review, we see similar symptoms happening in Darfur. Perhaps with the help of 'Hotel Rwanda', there will be more awareness and more saved lives.
What I would change
Nothing.
