Premise
Part of ESPN's 30 for 30 series, a documentary about the Yankees transitions (owner and stadium-wise) in 2009-2010.

Loved
The emotional testimonies.

Disliked
The lack of a central theme.

Thoughts
It's got its moments.

My favorite parts were the interviews with fans and Yankee employees. They were really good at articulating what the Yankee tradition and old Yankee Stadium meant to them, and their uncertainty of the post-George era.

Despite my apathy for baseball, the heart of a fan resonated universally. I was touched by some of the fans/employees/players' love and pride. I understood how they felt, and I too, felt sad watching old Yankee stadium getting torn down, never to host baseball ever again.

In between these emotional moments, there was some historic accounts on George Steinbrenner's reign, archive interviews, and exploration on the transition to Hal. The problem was that it muddled the main storyline. Was it about George or the stadium or something else? If it was about the infamous owner, why pick 2009 to highlight? It was difficult for me to recognize the documentary's purpose.

As a sports fan, I greatly enjoyed the touching farewell to Yankee Stadium. However, as a viewer, I was pulled in too many directions.

What I would change
Just kept it as a documentary about the Yankee Stadium transition.
