Premise
Two men create what appears to be a time machine.
Who should watch
Science fiction fans.
Thoughts
I appreciated the film for proving you can make a science fiction film with independent movie budget. The ideas and ambition were cool. I really liked the realism of the characters in the first half of the film. Even though I did not understand a single word of jargon, the filmmakers made sure I basically understood what was happening. Also, I liked the film's realistic exploration of time-travel paradoxes.
The flaw came from the twist-turning third act. Naturally, the cause and effects of such paradoxes were supposed to be confusing to the characters, but it should not be confusing to the audience. The last act reminded me of how well 'The Prestige' handled its third act.
Despite this major flaw, I still recommend it for those who want a thinking film.
What I would change
Made the characters a bit more defined or likeable so that the audience would want to re-watch the film to figure out the clues.
